Thespians, patrons, and partners,
It saddens me to say that today I had to make the very difficult decision of canceling our spring play, Leading Ladies. This decision was the result of weeks of deliberation and patience, but it comes no easier after all of that. Since the beginning of this process in February, this show has faced many roadblocks. In the end, it was a combination of a seriously injured cast member and the unpreparedness of some of our other actors that forced this action. While we are very disappointed that we will not be able to bring a play to Bunn this spring, we are setting our sights towards what lies ahead for our program.

Attention all community partners!
Want to help support the arts in Bunn? Our spring production is fast approaching! We're currently looking for volunteers--individuals, church groups, reading clubs, anyone!--to help provide simple meals for our cast and crew during tech week and the nights of our show. Last year, we had great success partnering with our local community, and we'd like to do this again. If you or your group would be interested in providing a meal for at most 20 people, the following nights are still available for sign-up: Monday May 1st from 6-7 PM Tuesday May 2nd from 6-7 PM Friday May 5th from 5-6 PM Saturday May 6th from 5-6 PM Please email [email protected] for more information. Congrats to the cast for our spring play, Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig!

Hello, thespians! Congrats to all of our Fall One Acts cast! Here is the full rehearsal schedule. Can't wait to get started!
See you all for our full-cast meeting TODAY after school. Due to all activities being canceled on Friday, we are now hosting a second day of One Acts auditions on Wed. 9/7 after school in the auditorium. No need to prepare, just come for a quick read!
See you there! Ok, we get it. Most of you kids are dreading the first week back at school. On the first day, you get inundated with syllabuses (syllabi?) and freak out as you try to find the rooms for all your new classes, with only five minutes to get from place to place. As a freshman, it's even more terrifying, but don't worry. The booing will eventually end.
You want to know how we know? Because, soon, they'll be applauding. And why will they be applauding? BECAUSE YOU'LL BE TAKING YOUR CURTAIN CALL BOW AFTER OUR FIRST EVER FALL ONE ACTS SHOW. What's a One Acts show, you ask? We're glad you're asking. It's a two-day, five-play showcase of Bunn High School's best acting talent. We have a TON of parts available, and WE WANT YOU! Never acted before? No sweat! The One Acts are a great way to get your toes wet and try something new, and GreenHouse Theatre is more than just acting--it's a place to call home during your high school years. The first week of school can be scary and stressful, make no mistake, but there's a blazing light at the end of the tunnel, because... ...auditions will be held THE FIRST THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OF SCHOOL. You heard us. September 1st and 2nd, after school each day from 3-4 PM in the auditorium. See you there. **Stay posted for updates by following us on Twitter! @BHS_GreenHouse |
