Announcing a great acting opportunity at Louisburg College this summer! Come for a two-week, intensive acting workshop taught by Walter (Wally) Hurst. Wally has trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has connections with the Pasadena Playhouse and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and he currently serves as the director of the Norris Theatre in Louisburg, NC. The cost of the workshop is $175.00 per student--a great deal for a two-week course! Learn from the best and have the chance to perform some short plays at the end of the workshop. All those ages 11+ are welcome! See the attached poster for more details!
A huge THANK YOU from Our Town's cast and crew to everyone who contributed to make the show a success! We had 360 people come out for the show over our three-night run, and so many of you helped support us before opening night. Special thanks to Mrs. Davis, Hughie and Louie's costume shop in Raleigh, the Do It Center in Bunn, Bunn Baptist Church, Rock Spring Baptist Church, and Wake Forest Church of the Nazarene for your donations, time, service, and encouragement.
Stay tuned to see what we do next! If you have any pictures from the show, please email them to [email protected]. GreenHouse Theatre isn't the only school putting on a great show this spring! Check out these other listings to support our local theatre programs! Louisburg College

GreenHouse Theatre is excited to announce that we have extended auditions for Our Town to Wednesday, Feb. 10th, after school. If you missed out on the Monday auditions, please come Wednesday!
We will still be having a production meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9th, after school for those interested in working tech or PR for the show. Thank you for your continued support! See you on stage! Our Town by Thornton Wilder is coming to Bunn High School this May!
The play depicts small town life (Bunn Life, so to speak) around the early 1900s and follows the characters throughout their daily interactions, living, loving, and dying. Wilder's play emphasizes the "glory of the mundane," the beautiful everyday things that we often overlook in our own lives, and shows us just how bittersweet life can be. GreenHouse Theatre will be having auditions for Our Town on Monday, February 8th! Actors will be asked to perform cold (on the spot) readings for various characters. There are many parts of all sizes for boys and girls alike. To audition, sign up in Mrs. Horn's room (Rm. 19) and then meet in the auditorium on Monday, Feb. 8th. Greetings, theatre patrons!
We have some sad news for GreenHouse Theatre. Due to a substantial lack of male interest in auditions, we have had to cancel our show Scenes from an Italian Restaurant. We are still planning on putting on a main stage performance in May, so there will be another chance to audition in February! In the mean time, stay up-to-date with GreenHouse Theatre by following us on Twitter @BHS_GreenHouse. GreenHouse Theatre will be holding auditions for Scenes from an Italian Restaurant on
Monday, Dec. 14th in the BHS auditorium right after school. All students are welcome to participate, and we have many roles to fill! Please sign up in advance in Mrs. Horn's room to audition. We're still looking for students to submit scenes for our next show! We have a few great candidates so far.
If you are still interested in writing a scene but were unable to attend the info meeting on Monday with Mrs. Horn, check out the PowerPoint reviewed on Monday outlining the requirements for the scenes as well as the inspiration for the show. We're looking for scenes displaying a variety of couples at various stages in relationships. If you think you would be interested in writing a scene, please sign up with your idea here. ALL SUBMISSIONS OF SCENES ARE DUE ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4TH. This is so we can have time to put everything together and make revisions before auditions. We would like to do auditions before Winter break so that our actors can begin memorizing their scripts over the holidays. Please contact Mrs. Horn if you have any further questions about this event. We're seeking talented student scene writers for our next event, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant. If you are a BHS student and are interested in learning more, come to Mrs. Horn's room (019) on Monday after school for a brief info meeting.
